For The Love Of God, Can Someone Please Take Away Kanye's Phone?

This week, Kimye’s divorce hit new levels of messy. Normally, I’m here for the drama, but this can’t be healthy for anyone. About a week ago, Kanye vowed that he wasn’t looking at his phone until 2/22/22, the day Donda 2 is “coming out.” His focus was going to be taking his kids to school and finishing the album. I loved this energy from him!
Unfortunately, he has not kept this promise for a single second. Here’s a timeline of events since these lies left his mouth -
2/2/22
Kanye celebrated his new girlfriend, Julia Fox’s birthday. Not only did he get her a Birkin bag, but he also got one for all of her friends. He took the Spice Girl’s advice and I actually love that (if you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends!) I support this relationship, but you already know he wasn’t even thinking about Donda 2 during that party.
2/4/22
Kanye, who still clearly has his phone, posts "SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL?" First of all, the “since this is my first divorce” line is hilarious, so I’ve got to give him respect for that. North is only 8, so I do kind of see where he’s coming from, but he couldn’t have gone about it in a less mature way. Naturally, my girl Kim K had something to say about this:
At the end of the day, it can’t be easy raising a child in this world of social media. It really does feel like Kim is just trying to do her best. Later, she also revealed that North doesn’t have TikTok on her phone; the account is run by and shared with Kim, so that’s comforting to hear.

On this day, Candace Owens involved herself to defend Kanye:
Of course, he LOVED that. His response has since been deleted, but here’s what he had to say about it:
"THANK YOU CANDACE FOR BEING THE ONLY NOTEWORTHY PERSON TO SPEAK ON THIS ISSUE THERE'S A LOT OF CELEBRITIES SCARED TO SAY SOMETHING IN PUBLIC BUT THEY'LL TEXT ME IN PRIVATE AND SAY THEIR ON MY SIDE. I WILL NO LONGER PUT MY HAND THROUGH A BLENDER TO HUG MY CHILDREN MY MOTHER TOOK ME TO CHICAGO WHEN I WAS 3 AND TOLD MY DAD IF HE CAME TO CHICAGO HE WOULD NEVER SEE ME AGAIN SO I BOUGHT THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR I DREAM OF A WORLD WHERE DAD’S CAN STILL BE HEROES."
You can always count on Kanye to be dramatic!

This brings us to today. He is now claiming Kim said he wants someone to kill her (WTF?)
This is getting so outrageous and I’m sure there will be even more craziness tomorrow. There’s two morals of the story here:
#1 - There has GOT to be a better way to handle his business regarding his children and divorce. Eventually, his kids are going to be able to see all of his posts and there’s inevitable trauma that will come from that. Some of his points are very valid, but the way he goes about things can really discredit him.
#2 - Stop teasing us about these albums. It wouldn’t be the first time Kanye has promised new music and it either never comes out or we never get it when we’re supposed to. I’m not a fool, I know a lot of the drama IS to help promote the album, but I’m kind of just over the theatrics at this point. He used to put out such solid albums and I miss it. It’s time for Kanye to take his own advice to put his phone down and focus.
I don’t see how he can get it together and put out an amazing album by 2/22/22, but I really hope he proves me wrong!
